Rx Destroyer to Distribute Drug Disposal Pouches to New Jersey Pharmacies

May 29, 2024 —Rx Destroyer Drug Disposal announced today that in the initial phase of a new initiative funded through the federal and state governments, 235 pharmacies across New Jersey will receive the new ready-to-use Rx Destroyer Drug Disposal Pouches.

The reusable Rx Destroyer drug disposal pouch, which you can continue to add medications for up to one year, or until full, offers a safe and convenient method for individuals to dispose of unused medications, helping to prevent opioids and other medications from being diverted or misused. This initiative aims to contribute to the broader effort to address the opioid overdose crisis in New Jersey.

Funding for the Rx Destroyer pouches was made possible through the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The division received grant funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to support states and territories in their efforts to combat drug abuse and misuse.

Providers with any questions about the Rx Destroyer can contact Jordan Brown, Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships at Rx Destroyer, via email at jordan@rxdestroyer.com.
