fentanyl awareness protect our kids

August 20, 2024 | Press Release

East Troy, Wis., August 20th, Rx Destroyer has been graciously invited to team up with Voices for Awareness at their Facing Fentanyl event. This event will take place in the ever-busy Father Duffy Square, Time Square from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM EDT, featuring a press conference with families who have been directly affected by the fentanyl crisis.

The event seeks to shine a spotlight on the dangers of illicit fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid that has tragically claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of unsuspecting individuals. As the death toll continues to climb and more families are left grieving, Facing Fentanyl stands as a voice for the victims of this lethal poison, urging the government to take decisive action. Through the personal stories shared by those affected and the iconic billboards of Times Square amplifying their voices, the event aims to bring much-needed attention to the devastating impact of fentanyl and the critical importance of prevention and education.

“Rx Destroyer is committed to this fight against fentanyl,” said Milton Dallas, CEO and Co-Founder of Rx Destroyer. “It is an honor to be a part of this day with Voices for Awareness to help educate on the importance of drug disposal in this fight.  We are here to amplify and support the voices of the families who have suffered unimaginable losses but continue to fight for a brighter future.”

“Illicit fentanyl is the deadliest drug threat we have ever witnessed in the U.S. It is imperative that we collaborate to find solutions, save lives, and educate Americans about the dangers of fentanyl and other synthetic drugs,” said Andrea Thomas, VFAF Founder and Executive Director. “Partnering with organizations like Rx Destroyer gives us hope for the future and the opportunity to curb drug us before it starts.”

The event will feature speakers, including families who have lost loved ones, advocates, healthcare professionals, DEA representatives, and policy makers, who will discuss strategies for prevention, the importance of innovation, safe medication disposal, Naloxone, and how to support families affected.

This is a public event, and all are welcome to attend and learn more about the dangers and prevention strategies for fentanyl to prevent future strategies.
